3rd year Classroom

This was the whole group gathering area in my classroom. This is where we would go over the calendar, sing songs, and listen to stories.

Here is my High Frequency Word Bulletin Board. After introducing a new word we would place the word on this board. The table underneath the board was the word work area where students could make and manipulate words with various manipulatives such as magnetic letters, stamps, and wiki sticks. The bulletin board was a great resource for the students.

This was the same listening center I used during my second year classroom. I wanted to find a new place for it and ended up placing it at the front of the classroom.

I was lucky to have great technology in my classroom. I absolutely loved my InterWrite board! The students were always engaged when completing activities on what we called "the big screen." :)

Here is a picture of my students' table areas. I was glad that I was able to get smaller tables this year!

Whenever we had a new vocabulary word (wow word) we would place the word on this bulletin board. This door is actually the closet door. I also had pictures on the wow word cards to help the kinders out! :)

This is my classroom library. I bought the little black benches from target and the rug was from TJ Max. I liked to use book displays to display important books we were discussing at the time.
